Born on March 18, in 1931 in the town of Verkhniy, the Lugansk region (Ukraine).
He graduated from the Kharkiv state University, faculty of journalism, (1953).
Filmmaker, winner of many Russian and foreign film festivals.
Member of the Union of journalists of the USSR. Honoured Art Worker of the Russia (1998).
